Hirsch Access Control System

The Hirsch ScramblePad keypad/reader provides a very high security approach to access, because the ID code or PIN number cannot be accidentally shared with, or stolen by, onlookers. Each numeral is randomly scrambled to a new position each time the START button is pressed, so a bystander cannot see the code, learn the pattern, nor identify telltale wear marks on certain keys.

Active Infra-Red Beams

Active Infrared Sensors have become the most trusted and widely used technology in Automatic Pedestrian Door Safety to date. Simplicity and reliability have been bred into the newest generation of Active Infrared Sensors.

Active Infrared Sensors use invisible light to scan a defined area. The transmitter emits a beam of light into the scan zone. The light, which is reflected by the background returns to the receiver, which constantly monitors the scan zone. When a person or object enters the zone the infrared light is interrupted. It then sends a signal to the internal relay, which is wired into the door controls. One variation of this operating mode is called "background suppression". This is when the receiver only detects a change in the reflected light when a person or object enters the scan zone thus causing a reflectance variation of the light, sending a signal to the internal relay.

Barriers and Turnstiles

Centra Security Services can install a wide range of security barriers and turnstiles either on a stand-alone basis or as part of an Integrated Security system incorporating other security factors such as CCTV, Access Control and Alarm Monitoring.

AC Controls can design & install a security barrier system that will control vehicle or pedestrian movement, providing either a stand alone security system for your premises or complementing other systems such as CCTV, Access Control etc.

Maximum Effectiveness, Minimum Inconvenience

The key role of both barriers and turnstiles is to prevent non-authorised access whilst providing minimum inconvenience to those that do have authorised access to the site. A proper system should allow rapid communication when any delay occurs, thereby making sure that there is no peak period congestion.

Integration with your Security System

The more advanced systems we install have the capability to stop vehicles or people at the relevant barrier and not allow entry / exit until they identify themselves via a swipe / prox card.

The operator of the system (who would also be responsible for the main security system) will then verify that the person presenting the card is the same as the person held on the system database. A decision is then made on allowing entry / exit.

Electric Fencing Fence/Wall Sensor Cable

Magnetic Locks (Health & Safety Compliant)

We have added some new and standard options to our magnetic locks to improve Health and Safety standards. The first new option we have added is anti-tamper and safety screws which stop the magnetic lock from unscrewing from the top plate and lock falling from the door frame.

With grub screw undone M4 fixing screw is allowed to be removed and top plate can be removed to install.

With grub screw in position the M4 bolt cannot be undone or removed.

The other option which is available with this range of magnetic locks is a safety strap for the armature which also stops the plate from falling from the door, again removing any Health and Safety issues regarding the armature falling from the door.

Microwave sensors

Microwave Sensors, also known as Radar or Doppler sensors have been used to activate automatic doors for decades. Today's safety standards such as ANSI/BHMA A156.10 have been the driving force for improvement of microwave technology in automatic door applications.The microwave sensor sends out a high frequency sound wave while listening for bounce back. When the sound wave is returned at a different frequency the sensor knows that there is a moving object within the detection zone. It then sends a signal to the internal relay, which is wired to the door control's activation input.Centra Security uses the latest technology in microwave detection. Utilizing the planar or flat antenna, at 24.125 GHz in the K-band range gives our sensors the capability of achieving the sharpest, most adjustable detection field possible with today's microwave technology.

UTP Cat 5 Cable

Category 5e UTP Fully Booted RJ45 Patch Leads are manufactured, tested and independently verified to the ISO11801 Category 5 1999 and EIA/TIA 568 Addendum 11 draft standards for enhanced performance. Each cable consists of 8 colour coded stranded 24AWG conductors twisted together to form 4 pairs with varying lay lengths. The soft PVC outer sheath, coupled with the stranded conductors, results in a highly flexible cable. The heat resistant UL rated outer sheath is clearly printed with specification details. A choice of jacket colours enables departmental or application identification, where necessary.
